Free Cell Phone Services from google, cha cha, and Jott

Here are the free cell phone services that are all very cool and worth checking out:

Free Voice-Recognition Yellow Pages from Google:

800-GOOG-411

If you call this number, it asks you for city and state, you speak  your city and state and it repeats it back. Then you give a category like Pizza or Movies or whatever. It then looks up a list of numbers and you press 1 or 2 or 3 to directly connect to the business. If you say “text message” it will text message you the phone number.

cha cha

This is a voice recognition free service that will send a text message for any question.

Call 800-chacha2 (800-224-2242)

They will text message you the answer in a few minutes at no cost with no ads.

I asked the question “Who are the Roots?” Two minutes later I got a text message back saying:

“The Roots is a hip hop band that thrive on live performances instead of going strictly for album sales. They debuted in 1993″

Pretty cool!

Actually, this is college students googling and then text messaging you back.

Finally, there is http://www.jott.com

It is a way to leave messages for yourself and for other people using your cell phone.

This is all from David Pough’s latest video available here
