Bob Dylan at Hershey, June 24, 2007

I thought you’d like the following, from a midnight interview of Dylan, at a Fort Lauderdale hotel a few years ago:Question: When you look ahead now, do you still see a Slow Train Coming?Dylan: When I look ahead now, it’s picked up quite a bit of speed. In fact, it’s going like a freight train now.

I was going to write a review of this concert – but Gretchen already did and she said almost exactly what I was thinking – it was an awesome outdoor concert on a perfect summer night.  He is a poet and a musician for the ages. But he doesn’t have the greatest singing voice (although its getting better with age!).

Here is my wife’s review

Gretchen and I went to see a Bob Dylan concert last night at Hershey Park

Here is a link about Bob Dylan’s faith:

Bob Dylan is an exceptionally talented, wise and insightful HUMAN BEING, just as most of us are (without the talent of course)..
I have been a fan of Mr. Dylan for more years than I can count and have found him, Funny, politically on tne money, light years ahead of most of the artist of this or any time in the last 40 years, What difference does it make to any of us whether he goes to Church every Sunday to listen to some obviously self serving, self professed “Man of GOD” or not, it does not take a very smart person of any Church, to figure out that if Bob did attend any service regularly that there would be a MOB scene the size of the RELEASE OF PARIS HILTON! Yes Bob Dylan is one of America’s most treasured, prolific and honored popular professional artist. .
But, he is a human being just like the rest of us and
would you want some nosy camera flashing idiot trying to figure out what you were saying as you PRAYED?
    Give the man a break,
Bob Dylan has given us all more enjoyment, inspiration and hope than most of the bible thumping hypocrites who criticise him, Let them write 2 or300 profound mind changing , eye-opening songs and then they will have the Divine right to critique his vocal skills,

These same folks, Quote, sing, copy,,compare and idolize him and if they can beg, borrow or steal a ticket to any concert, (no matter where) They will be there , flicking lighters and singing along so loud that you can’t hear BOB anyway.!
All I’m saying is enjoy, admire and go to the next concert in your area and shut up and LISTEN to him, maybe then you can appreciate a still evolving genius, who has grown better with maturity.
Something some boneheads stuck in the sixties have not,, Get over yourselves and respect a man deserving of respect.
    Bob Dylan ROCKS!!!

  2. I agree that Bob Dylan rocks!

Paris Hilton’s release? Some stuff is happening to her too!

    Quote of the day
“I have become much more spiritual. God has given me this new chance. … My spirit or soul did not like the way I was being seen and that is why I was sent to jail. … God has released me.”

—Paris Hilton, who says she is reading the Bible, along with The Secret, The Power of Now, the Los Angeles Times, and The Wall Street Journal. She was quoted by ABC’s Barbara Walters, whom Hilton called from jail Sunday. (How could this not be the quote of the day?)
