October West Chester PA events

This Sunday, October 7 there is a  Chili Cook Off in downtown West Chester. Wristbands are $10, or 3 for $25 in advance – details here.

The Rocky Horror Picture Show is being presented by the Barley Sheaf Players in Lionsville PA. There will be treat bags loaded with treats and confetti to throw at the actors.  Midnight showings are Oct 27 and Nov 3. This show is a little racy so it may not be suitable for pre-teen children and there are also evening performances.

Emerson Drive will be at the Emile K. Asplundh Concert Hall at West Chester University October 18,2007 for $6. Former band member Patrick Bourque  died suddenly , of suicide, on Sept 25, 2007,  a few days before his 30th birthday. Here is his obit.

An evening with David McCullough at Immaculata University  is already *SOLD OUT* 😦 That is going to be on Oct 26, 2007. It was limited to 1100 participants.

There is a Haiku workshop and competition at the West Chester library on October 6, 2007 between 3 and 5 PM.

There are lots of other events – so stayed tune!

Did anybody meet Terry Pratchett at the Chester County Bookstore last weekend? I was out of town so I missed him.
