The anguish of Marie-Dominique Culioli is chronicled

Marie-Dominique Culioli, first wife of French President Nicholas Sarkozy, is interviewed in a new book about Sarkozy’s relationship with women. I hope it comes out in English. They divorced 14 years ago.

Sarkozy’s first wife speaks about her anguish

A devout Catholic, she saw Sarkozy as “a spiritual person, very modest at heart”. At the time, she said, he had none of the fondness for Ray-Bans and Rolexes that earned him the nickname of President Bling-Bling.

Culioli has forgiven him, but not Cecilia (now Cecilia Attias, formally Cecilia Sarkozy, his second wife), who was her best friend.

Here is my post on the French Election where I first mention the long-suffering Marie-Dominique!

    Hi there,

I read your blog about Marie-Dominique. How nice that you met her. Are you in touch with her?

I thought it would be a good idea for her to write a book about her experience. That way, everyone will know the truth.

When I searched online, I could not find much information about her. There is more information about Cecilia and Carla.

Anyway, hope to hear from you soon. Take care and God bless.

    Warmest Regards,
    Vicki
